In a range test, the Nio ET7, equipped with the 150 kWh Ultra Long Range battery, traveled 1,044 kilometers from Shanghai to Xiamen without the need for recharging.

This impressive performance represents a new world record for a production electric car.

Nio’s Ultra Long Range 150 kWh battery has a capacity of 150 kWh and an energy density of 360 Wh/kg. This is an exceptional performance that allows the car to travel long distances on a single charge.

The battery is made of LFP (lithium iron phosphate) lithium-ion cells, which are safer and more durable than NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) lithium-ion cells. Also, LFP cells are more efficient at low temperatures, which was an important factor in achieving the autonomy record.

The autonomy test was conducted by Nio founder William Li, who drove the car for 14 hours at an average speed of 83 km/h.

During the trip, the outside temperature varied between -2 and 12 degrees Celsius.

The car was equipped with special tires to improve energy consumption. The temperature control system has also been set to maintain a constant temperature in the cabin, regardless of outside conditions.

The result of the autonomy test proves that the Nio ET7 is an electric car with an impressive autonomy.

The 150 kWh Ultra Long Range battery represents a major innovation in the field of electric cars and paves the way for new standards in the automotive industry.

This performance is significant for several reasons. First, it shows that electric cars can be a viable option for long journeys. Second, it helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Third, it can help increase the popularity of electric cars.

Conclusion:

The Nio ET7’s range test result   is an important achievement for the electric car industry. It’s a sign that electric cars are becoming more and more capable of competing with gasoline-powered cars.
